FaithWeaver Curriculum
Attention Parents!
We want to share our enthusiasm with you about a new curriculum that Adult Ministries and Children’s Ministries has adopted to encourage you in strengthening your family spiritually. FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum from Group Publishing is a resource designed to change the lives of adults and children at St. Paul’s. We believe that you as a parent would welcome help from your church family.
FaithWeaver’s goal is to weave faith in Jesus Christ into all areas of learners’ lives, and it accomplishes this goal as no other curriculum can. By using this curriculum, we provide an opportunity for families to study the same Bible passage every week. After children and adults study the same Bible passage (at different levels, of course), families will emerge from church with a common point of reference that will spark discussion and application at home. The extra tools, such as take-home pages and the new FamilyConnect weekly pages, will help encourage your family to integrate what you learned into daily life.
Our Adult Ministries and Children’s Ministries joined together starting on September 6th in an effort to strengthen families by using FaithWeaver. The Believer’s ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship) will be offering this opportunity to you every Sunday at 9:45 in the Multipurpose Room. Eric Button, a parent of two small children, is the leader. Ben and Judy Haas are empty nesters and experienced Bible teachers who have a passion to encourage young parents and their families. Ben and Judy and Pat and Pastor Dan will facilitate and teach the ABF.
This thirteen-week study will include biblical texts from Exodus through Joshua. For example, lesson one comes from the crossing of the Red Sea and will help you and your family to trust God and know peace when you are afraid. There will be a time at the end of the session where you will be able to discuss with other parents how to apply this lesson in your family throughout the week. You may have ideas to share about how you and your family have faced fears, and you may learn how others have done so, too.
We invite you to come and join other parents who are helping each other to become better parents. Grab a cup of coffee just outside the door of the Believers ABF and come on in. You are always welcome.
If you have questions, you may contact Pastor Dan or Carrie, our Children’s director.
