The Third Day of Christmas, Sunday, December 27

Dear St. Paul's Congregation,

There are 12 Days of Christmas, so I hope that your celebrations are still in full swing. As you enter church tomorrow, the front of the St. Paul's in Action will give you some ideas about how to celebrate throughout all 12 days.

Please keep in mind three special aspects of tomorrow's service:

  1. The Christmas Lights will still be with us. Come and enjoy the afterglow of Christmas Eve.
  2. There will be a message for the children in both services.
  3. The Songsters will sing at the early service, with soloist Christine Kraus
  4. Brian Bish will preach the sermon: "Stressed: A Christmas Debrief", based on 1 peter 3:8-12

I have a special affection in my heart for these days after Christmas.

  • Take time to have friends over for a "left-over dinner."
  • Take time for early morning times of spiritual reflection.
  • Keep your tree decorations up for the entire Christmas Season.
  • As you write your thank you notes, include words of encouragement for each one.
  • Telephone or text message friends, to let them know they are loved.
  • Get outdoors to enjoy God's creation
  • Practice self-giving love. Stay alert for opportunities to share generously with others.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

Pastor Mark Friz
