It's Friday, But Sunday's Comin'

Dear St. Paul's Congregation,

I hope everyone is surviving this record cold. We should get a break on Sunday, with the Weather Channel forecasting "Mostly Sunny" and temperatures that will hover between 19 and 24. That is almost tropical compared to what we will experience tonight.

Our parking lot is all clear, and I think we should have easy access to the building on Sunday. So, if you are able, come and join us. Here is what we have planned:

  • Stephanie Brenner violin prelude in first service, with choir singing "With Songs of Rejoicing"
  • Jonathan Friz giving Mission Moment in both services about prayer ministry called "Wisdom Way."
  • Worship Team in Second Service
  • A dramatic reading of Psalm 29 by Pastor Dan
  • Sermon from Luke 3:15-22 (Baptism of Jesus), by Pastor Mark

This Sunday, we continue our sermon series based on the Revised Common Lectionary Series. Do you remember our Vision Statement? "Strengthening Families and Relationships Through the Love of Christ." This sermon called Empowered for Ministry, will help you to strengthen friends and families in their various ministries. It is a sermon you can use on a daily basis. It will be especially good for parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and mentors.

It's Friday, but Sunday's comin'. Sunday is the day of resurrection, the day to resurrect from our winter doldrums, and worship our Great God!

Warmly Yours,

Pastor Mark Friz
