This Sunday: Micah, Annual Meeting, Sunday School, and more!
Dear St. Paul's Congregation,
This coming Sunday, January 29, our youth director and seminary graduate, Keith Kozlowski, will be preaching from the book of Micah. There are some famous verses in Micah 6 about justice, mercy and humility. You have heard these verse often, but what about the context of their message. I think you will enjoy hearing from Keith on Sunday.
Between services, don't forget about the excellent Sunday School program we have at St. Paul's. Added to that, Adult Education is available. The Believers (taught by Dan Walter) meet in the auditorium for a Workshop on the Book of Jonah. The seekers are studying 1 Corinthians. Spiritual Sisters are in the book of Acts, and the Book Club is discussing a book by Leland Ryken called, "The Liberated Imagination: Thinking Christianly about the Arts." IF YOU'VE NEVER JOINED IN, WHY NOT JOIN AN ADULT CLASS?
The potluck for the annual meeting begins at 12:00. Everyone is to bring enough for 8 people. Meat dishes are encouraged. The annual meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. The focus of the meeting will be the future of St. Paul's, and there will also be a time to highlight our new constitution. A draft will be handed out on Sunday. New officers will be elected.
I pray that you will take time on Sunday to join in the governmental process of your church. Even though the church in general faces many challenges in our current cultural climate, there are many reasons also to be optimistic in our commission to make disciples of all nations.
Grace, mercy and peace to you!
