Vocal Choirs

Music is such a very important part of worshipping God. The following list of groups tells a bit about the different varieties of music ministries that we are blessed with here at St. Paul’s.

Choral singing for Open House

Chorale

The Chorale, directed by Lois Percival and composed of adults and high school students, rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. You will often hear them sing on Sunday morning at the 8:30 a.m. service; they can also be heard in many of our special services. They provide us with an experience of many different varieties of vocal music - from Baroque to contemporary Christian.

Celebration Singers

The celebration singers include our students in sixth through tenth grades and is directed by Nancy Dahl. Although this group is small, their sound is dynamic. They currently rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. Some of the high school students then stay to rehearse with the Chorale.

Songsters

This choir, made up of second to fifth grade students, directed by Carol Wipke and accompanied by pianist, Gayle Friz, meets every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. during the school year. About once a month, you can share in the joy of hearing them sing. We are blessed to hear their music in both our traditional and contemporary services.
