Adult FellowshipsAt St. Paul’s there are many opportunities to refresh our spiritual needs as well as expand and enrich our lives with fellowship. Many of the events that you’ll find here can be summerized as “total church” gatherings, in that there are things to do for any one who wants to join in the fun and fellowship, or perhaps just to sit back and relish in the glow of the love and definite friendships that happen here.
Mens Groups
Churchmen’s Fellowship
Once a month you will find many of the men of St. Paul’s gathering together for fellowship. During this fellowship time, the men enjoy the comraderie of kindred spirits who want to please our Lord in everything that they do. They also toss back and forth ideas about the needs of St. Paul’s. This dedicated group of men also participate in the spring and fall cleanup of our church and cemetary grounds. Our annual sasauge supper is hosted by these kind men. The proceeds from this dinner help to fund various church projects and benevolent efforts.
Promise Keepers Men’s Ministry
You will also find a Promise Keepers Ministry here which is connected to the national Promise Keepers organization. Every year, men who are interested have the opportunity to attend the regional conference in a nearby city. What amazing testimonies we have heard from many who have attended these conferences.
Womens Groups
Crusaders
The Crusaders are part of the heart of St. Paul’s, doing many special projects from organizing church bazaars to events such as our very special roast beef dinner. You will also find these special ladies preparing and serving meals at the after funeral gatherings for families of our church. Quietly embracing those during their time of hurting hearts. Each woman at St, Paul’s is welcomed to help in this group whether it be every moment that they have or just a few moments that they can spare.
Women’s Fellowship
Women’s Fellowship is a great way for the women of our church to join together to participate in special Christian service projects to help those in need. Once a month, on the second Wednesday of the month, we join together bringing a sack lunch and sharing a dessert, talk, laughter and prayer. This group brings our church so many fun times with events such as the Mother/Daughter Banquet, our famous Finger Food Luncheon, women’s retreats and one of the highlights of the Christmas season, the Christmas Brunch.
Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study
What a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday morning from September to May. This Bible study is led by two woman of whom God’s light brightly shines through. Joyce Lindstrum and Jean Buelter’s quiet strength and wisdom helps to lead us to know God’s word more fully, and leaves us to want to learn more than we ever realized possible.
Girl's Night Out
What pleasure can be found at our Girl’s Night Out group. Once every other month this group gets together for just the pure enjoyment that comes from meeting together. We meet at one of the area’s restaurants to enojy each other’s company and the fellowship that happens during this special time. Watch for details of these special outings that are announced in our weekly bulletin and our monthly newsletter.
Lydia Group
This study takes place every other month at Kaldi's in Kirkwood. The main purposes are to grow Christian friendships and encourage working woman. All ages welcome. Working college students, singles, young marrieds, empty-nesters, widows and whatever other women feel at home among women like those mentioned.
Mom Time
Mom Time was created to meet the special concerns of being a mom. You will find this group meeting on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in our St. Paul’s Youth House. The main goal with this group is to provide a refreshing of the spirit with the “4 F’s:” Faith replenishment, food, fellowship, and fun. What a wonderful way to spend an evening!
Women's Craft Night
Interested in learning a craft or perhaps just working at one that you are currently pursuing but find yourself looking for company while doing them? Well, you have just found the group that will help you perhaps find a new craft or just provide some great company while working on a current project. This group meets on the first Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Whether you have been crafting for years or you find yourself not crafty, but are just looking to sit back and enjoy the company and warm conversations that happen between friends, please come join us.
Quilters
Every Tuesday you will find the quilters of St. Paul’s busily adding their stitches of love and fine craftmanship to the beautiful creations that you will find them making. If you would care to join them, you will find them at the church between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. every Tuesday. This group has been meeting since 1892 and they would welcome any and all help that they can get to keep this special art of quilting going and thriving here at St. Paul’s. If you would like to learn how, they would be very happy to teach you.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
When serious illness strikes, loneliness often accompanies the disease. We have several woman here at St. Paul’s that have started a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Can you imagine the hope that this shawl gives as the recipient holds it and knows how much love and hope are being sent through it to them? During the process of making these precious shawls, prayers are being said constantly for the person for whom it is intended, and this shawl, once received will hopefully be a constant reminder of how much love and how many prayers are being sent their way.
