What is youth ministry?
Youth ministry is all about nurturing the spiritual formation of kids in grades 7-12. When youth begin to separate themselves from their parents as they grow up and go into the work force, trade school, college, or the military – we want their faith in Jesus Christ to be so strong that it goes with them. We are all about helping young people understand their identity in Christ in a transformative way that will stick with them for a lifetime, empowering them to positively impact the world.
Youth on Sunday mornings
We encourage our youth to attend our worship service at 9:30a. This is a great time for them to either attend or participate in service opportunities like the choir, worship band, or the audio visual team. Following the worship service, we offer Sunday school for grades 7-12. This spring we are using the Bible Project to help our youth experience the Bible as a unified story pointing to Jesus.
Youth on Sunday nights
During the school year, we have youth group on Sunday nights at 6:30p. This is a time for fun, games, relevant discussion, and ultimately for intentional spiritual formation. Youth group is extra valuable because the students get to dig deeper into questions, doubts, and real life issues that they’re facing alongside kind and caring volunteers. This spring our youth group is going through a solid curriculum on Christ-centered sexual integrity by Christian Sexuality.

We are headed to Kansas City, MO for the EFCA’s biennial national gathering of youth entering grade 7 through the completion of grade 12!
